Thanks so much for stopping by to visit my page, I'd like to give you a better idea of me & my story ...
I feel its important to start with the fact that I was one of those people who never knew what I wanted to be when I grew up. When I left school, I didn't go to college straight away. I did a secretarial course so I could start working in an office. I quickly got disillusioned with that so went off travelling to many different countries wanting to have some fun and see the world. I eventually decided that I wanted to go to college full time to study HR as all I knew was that I wanted to help people. I then worked in corporate HR in lots of different industries for almost 15 years, half way through that I start having my 3 beautiful boys.
For me becoming a mammy 9 years ago was the biggest life change I’ve experienced and I know so many mammies feel the same way. I questioned everything and knew that I wanted to be there to bring them up but also didn't want to loose myself. I struggled and felt very lonely in those early motherhood days. Yet there was something inside me that wanted to change how I was feeling and learn more about myself. I also knew I wanted to find my passion so I could inspire my children to find theirs when they grew up. This was the reason I began retraining. I’ve since trained in life and executive coaching, emotional intelligence coaching, resilience coaching, bio energy therapy and most recently kundalini yoga and meditation teacher training. I've learnt that I have an absolute passion for all things wellness and am now always learning and training in something.
In 2017 I went back to work after my third little boy and 6 months later I made the at the time very difficult decision to leave the corporate world. I always knew in my heart that Human Resources was not my passion or where I needed to be, but taking that leap of faith was so so scary at the time. Yet looking back at it now, I understand that sometimes it’s the scariest decisions that are the best decisions we can make, because when we shed something that doesn’t fit us anymore it leaves space where something new can grow in our life allowing for transformation.
I now know that there is such thing as being completely fulfilled by your job, that it does exist and it’s not just reserved for some people. That everyone if they are committed enough can make small steady changes to lead the life they’ve always dreamed of. Yes, life will throw challenges in our way but it’s how we look at these challenges and what tools we use in life to navigate through that will help us come through these challenges an even stronger person than we were before.
During my coaching training I was asked what my big dream was. At the time all I knew was that I loved yoga and I wanted to truly help people aswell as having flexible work so I could be there for my children. However, I was working full time in HR, bills to pay and had no clue how to get there. Looking back I can see that I just took baby steps towards this aswell as incorporating daily practices into my life.
The main tools I have used to help me get to where I am today have been lots of learning, journaling, self-coaching, healing, daily meditation practice and kundalini yoga. They have all helped me to get crystal clear on my passions, brought awareness to the thoughts that held me back and those that moved me forward and ultimately led me to set up Minding Me Wellness in 2018. The main purpose of everything I do in Minding Me is to help people connect in with themselves, to heal and connect with others in the most heart centred way.
I now offer weekly kundalini yoga classes in North County Dublin, 1:1 coaching and bio energy sessions in North & West Dublin, facilitate regular workshops and collaborate on various different projects and retreats here in Ireland and in Europe. Oh & did I say that I love learning …..as I believe we are constantly evolving and never the finished product so I’m completely open to how Minding Me will evolve in the future… watch this space!
My mission behind everything I do at Minding Me Wellness is to help others connect with their soul, heal and bring more peace, flow and joy in their lives.
Thanks so much for reading and please send me a note or give me a call if you would like to meet for a coffee or work with me.
